Melissa is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from York University and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Melissa is deeply committed to supporting clients throughout their therapeutic journey, helping them create meaningful and lasting change in their emotional and psychological well-being. She understands that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and views this step as an act of courage. With this in mind, Melissa offers a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space grounded in empathy, understanding, and genuine listening.
She works with individuals navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, emotion regulation, and body image concerns.
Melissa’s approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Client-Centered Therapy (CCT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
Her goal is to empower clients with the tools, insight, and confidence needed to move forward with clarity, resilience, and a stronger connection to themselves.
Beyond Work Hours: Melissa enjoys traveling, baking, spending time with family and friends, and going on walks with her dog.
